Question: “My insurance company tells me that I need to drive around and get three estimates.”
Well the simple fact is that the insurer is not looking after your vehicle but rather their wallet. Oregon State Laws protects you from this by simply stating that YOU have the right to choose the repair facility. It also states that Insurance companies can’t price fix. Choosing a shop with the right training and equipment is always the best option for getting your car repaired to pre-loss condition.
Question: “My insurance company tells me that they will not guarantee repairs unless repairs are completed at one of their shops”

Question: “My insurance company tells me that I have to go to their shop to get my estimate”
This is how they can get you to save them a little bit of money. They will have you go to one of their shops that give them price breaks. These shops too often refer to the insurance company as their customer and forget about your needs. Broadway Autobody does the exact opposite. We listen to your concerns as well as your expectations and take this to the insurance company. We fight to make sure that your vehicle is restored to pre-loss condition and we will not sacrifice the quality you deserve to save the insurance company a few dollars. YOU are our customer and we gladly fight for you.
Question: “Thursday is my only day I can bring in my car but the Insurance Company says they will not cover rental because the shop isn’t open during the weekend”
Again we know all too well that they are trying to save their wallet. In times like this it seems that they lost touch of making things convenient for their customers. Cars today are nothing like they were in the past. Cars today utilize a lot of plastic to improve fuel economy. As we all know, plastic can bend and warp but return to its formed state. A scratch can look like a scratch but underneath you could have lost some structural integrity. How will your vehicle hold up if another accident were to incur?
Question: “My insurance company tells me I have to use Aftermarket or Used parts”
Some insurance policies state that they have the right to use Aftermarket parts or CAPA parts. These are parts that are produced to look and function like a part from your vehicle manufacture. The reason these are utilized by insurance companies is because they cost a lot less. You get what you pay for! Costs are cut down by making parts in a lesser grade plastic, or a little thinner piece of steel. Used parts are parts off a vehicle at the recycling facility. A lot of times these parts are great replacement parts. Here at Broadway Autobody we will NOT sacrifice our quality, our warranty or our customer to use a part that doesn’t meet our precise specifications.
Question: “Your rates are higher than what the Insurance Company says they will pay”
Again, Oregon State Law allows the consumer to choose the repair facility. There are laws that protect you from having to pay anything out of pocket that the insurance company doesn’t cover. This is simply called PRICE FIXING. The insurance company has contracts with shops where they get a price break for sending customers to their shops. Broadway Autobody continuously shops our competitors to make sure that our rates are competitive.
Question: “Do I have to be there when the insurance company is going over my vehicle”
No. We want earn your business. When you drop your vehicle off at Broadway Autobody our estimators will go over the damages with you. We will discuss anything that you feel is accident related. We will listen to your concerns and your expectations and we will relay them to your insurance company. We will fight for you so that you have peace of mind and can go on with life as normal. Question: “The insurance company says they are going to spot or burn in the paint”
ALL paint manufactures state to stay away from this. What this means is that instead of painting the complete panel like your vehicle manufacture recommends is to spot it in or chemically melt the clear coat in on just a small area of the panel. This type of refinishing ALWAYS fails. Again our employees are trained to meet and exceed the top vehicle manufactures guidelines. We will remove every part off the panel and we will repair and refinish it to what they recommend to bring your car back to pre-loss condition.
I had my vehicle repaired here and had a wonderful experience. I really didn't know a whole lot as to what all the insurance stuff meant. They were fast and answered all my questions. Throughout the repairs, I received phone calls and was kept well informed. The repairs definitely looked as good as new.... maybe even better than before. 5 stars all around!
